Strategic Plan

Every 3 years, DCBDD works with people served, our employees, Board members, community leaders, and other stakeholders to set our vision for our Strategic Plan. For 2026-2028, our goals are:

  • Everyone has the opportunity to live a meaningful and self-directed life
  • Delaware County will lead the way, setting the standard for communities across Ohio
  • People recognize and value DCBDD

Our internal committee has developed an extensive, measurable list of action steps that we plan to take to achieve these goals, and a progress report is issued at the end of each year.

Since 1967, DCBDD has overseen a countywide system of supportive services that focuses on ensuring health and welfare, accessing the community, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment so that all people can live personally fulfilling lives.
