Advocacy Grant

To advance inclusion, advocacy, and empowerment of people with developmental disabilities, DCBDD has established a grant to assist individuals, families, and organizations in creating opportunities for community participation and developing advocacy skills (“Grant Funds”).

Within available funding each calendar year, DCBDD may allocate Grant Funds to assist with costs related to:

  • Advocacy projects
  • Training and/or education for advocacy group members
  • Outreach/awareness events that promote understanding and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in the community

Grant Funds are limited to $2,500 per Applicant per calendar year. Applicants may apply for Grant Funds more than once in a calendar year provided that the total Grant Funds received by the Applicant does not exceed $2,500. Grant Funds may not be used for:

  • Administrative costs
  • Fundraising activities
  • Food, alcohol, etc.
  • Any other costs as determined by DCBDD not to meet the objectives of the Advocacy Grant guidelines

Applications for the Advocacy Grant are accepted throughout the calendar year. If you have any additional questions, contact Chase Waits at 740.201.5866 or Chase.Waits@dcbdd.org or feel free to stop by our office during normal business hours.
