The Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD) maintains records in accordance with Ohio law and approved records retention schedules.
Public Records Requests
Many records created or received by DCBDD in the course of public business are considered public records and may be requested under the Ohio Public Records Act.
Any person may request public records. Requests should clearly describe the records being sought so the agency can identify and locate them.
Requests may be submitted using the form below or by contacting the Public Records Contact listed on this page.
Please note:
Requests do not have to be submitted on a specific form.
Requesters are not required to provide their name or explain why they want the records.
Records will be provided promptly and within a reasonable period of time as required by Ohio law.

Requests for Client Records
Requests for records related to individuals receiving services from DCBDD should be directed to the individual’s assigned Developmental Specialist or Service & Support Administrator (SSA). These staff members can assist families and guardians with accessing appropriate records and documentation.
Records Retention Schedule
DCBDD maintains an official Records Retention Schedule that outlines how long agency records are kept and when they may be disposed of in accordance with Ohio law.
Retention schedules describe the types of records maintained by a public office and how long they are preserved before lawful disposal.
