DCBDD Family Forum

September 2, 6 p.m.

Caribou Coffee, 1752 Columbus Pike, Delaware

The DCBDD Family Forum is a space for families to connect, share experiences, and access information about the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities services, resources, and initiatives. Families will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in discussions on various topics related to developmental disabilities and share knowledge and advice with other families
  • Stay informed about the latest updates in developmental disabilities programs, services, and initiatives
  • Provide valuable input and feedback to DCBDD, helping shape the future of our organization and the services we provide

Our goal is to create a supportive environment where families can come together to navigate the challenges and celebrate the successes of their loved ones with developmental disabilities. We believe that by working together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community for all. We look forward to connecting with you and working together to support our loved ones and create positive change in Delaware County!

Delaware First Friday

September 4

First Fridays are from 6 pm – 9 pm and each month offers a different themed event, free children’s activities, and businesses stay open late. This is a family time to join your neighbors, walk the shops, eat at local restaurants and enjoy the community that Main Street has helped to rebuild.

DCBDD Block Party & Provider Fair

September 9, 4-7 p.m.

Mingo Park, 500 E Lincoln Ave, Delaware

DCBDD’s Block Party & Provider Fair brings together people supported by DCBDD, their families, providers, and our community partners for a day of celebration of all that Delaware County has to offer!

This year’s Block Party & Provider Fair will be held at Mingo Park (500 E Lincoln Ave, Delaware) on Wednesday, September 9 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.

Food trucks will be available if you choose to purchase food/ice cream.

We will have booths from our community partners, providers, and more!

Suicide Prevention Coalition Walk

The 15th Annual Suicide Prevention Walk is a free event to spread HOPE, raise AWARENESS, and inspire CHANGE! Activities for all ages, community vendors, a keynote speaker, a 1.5-mile walk through historic downtown Delaware, Ohio, and more!

Delaware All-Horse Parade

September 13

Ohio’s largest All Horse Parade celebrates its 40th year in Delaware!
 
The parade kicks off Jug Week, leading up to the world-famous The Little Brown Jug harness race at the Delaware County Fair.
 
For 40 years, the All Horse Parade has brought thousands of spectators downtown to celebrate the horses, heritage and traditions that make this community special. From giant draft horses to tiny minis, plus donkeys, mules and ponies, horses of all kinds will fill the streets for this one-of-a-kind Delaware tradition.

Join DCBDD for an evening of FREE SINGO fun!

SINGO is song-bingo – a family-friendly game of music, prizes, and fun!

Doors open at 3:30 pm and the first game starts promptly at 4:00 pm. 

Each participant will receive a snack and beverage with their registration!

The Market at Evans Farm is a farmers market located in Lewis Center, Ohio in Evans Farm. The Big Table® is an annual community-wide day of conversation designed to inspire civic engagement and connection. At a time when many people feel lonely or disconnected, creating space for genuine human connection matters more than ever. Through intentional dialogue, Big Table participants are encouraged to meet new people, share their lived experiences, and actively listen to build a kinder, more connected community where everyone has a seat at the table. The Big Table is free and open to all!
 
Registration is encouraged but not required.

Inclusive Opportunity Fair with Westerville Parks & Recreation
