The Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD) has been awarded a three-year accreditation from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), the highest level of recognition granted by the state.
The accreditation recognizes DCBDD’s continued commitment to providing high-quality supports for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Delaware County.
The comprehensive accreditation review evaluates county boards across Ohio in areas including service and support administration, early intervention, health and safety practices, provider support, community advocacy, and organizational management. A three-year accreditation signifies that DCBDD met or exceeded state standards in all major areas reviewed.
“I can’t thank each and every one of our employees enough.” said Kristine Hodge, Superintendent. “They all hold a piece of this success. We are proud of this recognition and grateful for the trust placed in us by the individuals and families we serve.”
The accreditation result demonstrates DCBDD’s ongoing commitment to accountability, continuous improvement, and ensuring individuals with developmental disabilities have the opportunities and supports they need to thrive.
Since 1967, DCBDD has supported people with developmental disabilities throughout their lifetimes in Delaware County. For more information about DCBDD and its services, visit www.dcbdd.org.
