Access to Leadership program

What is Access to Leadership?

Access to Leadership is designed for adults with developmental disabilities served by DCBDD. Applicants should have an interest in community leadership and be willing to commit to a six-month training program and related activities.

What topics will be discussed?

Topics for Access to Leadership include understanding and becoming a leader, developing communication and active listening skills, time management and interview techniques, non-profit board structure and organization, developing leadership goals, and more.

Applicants must:

  1. Be an adult with a developmental disability served by DCBDD
  2. Download and fill out an application or call 740.201.5833
  3. Participate in a selection interview, as space is limited
  4. Commit to attending all six training sessions
  5. Commit to complete all other activities, as required
