A Letter from Superintendent Kristine Hodge
Dear people served, families, guardians, providers, and community members,
On behalf of the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD), I want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Delaware County for supporting the levy request on the November ballot. We are deeply appreciative of the community’s continued support of the people we serve and the services that make a meaningful difference in their lives.
The passage of this levy helps ensure that essential supports remain available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Delaware County. These services provide opportunities for greater independence, meaningful connections, and fuller participation in our community. We recognize how important these supports are to the people who rely on them, and we do not take that responsibility lightly.
I also want to recognize the many individuals who helped make this outcome possible. To the people served and families who shared their experiences, our dedicated employees, provider partners, Board members, and community members who took the time to learn about the levy and participate in the election, thank you. Your engagement and commitment reflect the strength of a community that values inclusion and opportunity for all.
With this support comes an important responsibility. We remain committed to being transparent, engaging, and ensuring responsible stewardship of the public resources entrusted to us. We understand that the community’s trust must continue to be earned through our actions, decisions, and the quality of services people receive.
To the residents of Delaware County, thank you for your continued support. To the people with developmental disabilities we serve and their families, we look forward to continuing our work together. Our mission remains unchanged: to inspire, empower, and support people to achieve their full potential.
With gratitude,
Kristine Hodge, Ed.D. Superintendent
