General
The Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures to Support Accessibility
DCBDD has taken multiple steps to ensure the accessibility of our online experiences
- DCBDD engages in interval audits, web page scans, and testing by people with disabilities to continually assess and improve the accessibility of www.dcbdd.org.
- DCBDD further invests in training on accessibility for our Communications team to ensure our web content personnel and other team members are knowledgeable and follow best practices for accessibility.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We believe that our website is conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we will apply Level AAA Success Criteria as often as possible to exceed the minimum requirements.
