Young man, in Galena needs assistance with developing more independence, skill building, work habits, daily living skills, and community outings. He loves to walk outdoors, go for rides, watch videos, and listen to music. He smiles and laughs a lot and enjoys people. He uses a communication device as his means to communicate. Assistance with grocery shopping, food prep and light cleaning may also be needed. He lives at home and his parents will implement all the training with the staff in the home. Having staff who will engage with him is very important as well as having more than one person to be trained to work with him in case of call-offs.
He needs assistance on both weekend and weekdays. The immediate need is M-F 9:30a-12:30p mornings and weekends 11a-7p (the weekend hours can be slightly flexible).
There will be a need to increase hours gradually over the next 2 years or so, possibly to 24hr staffing
The Individual/guardian will be provided with the names of the providers who respond to this request. The Individual/guardian will then review the providers who responded and will choose who they interview.
