What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and allows you to stay up to date with websites you frequently visit. The usual way to check to see whether if any new content has been posted is to go to the website and search for new content. This can be very time consuming. RSS solves this problem by reversing the process by sending you a short note that an area of the website that is of interest to you. This way you can choose what you want to read without having to sift through unwanted material.
What do I need to subscribe to an RSS feed?
To read RSS feeds, you need an RSS reader. Some of the programs you already use may already have an RSS reader included in them such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and Firefox.
